I gave up on the butterflies for the moment, and decided to play along with The Burtonesque Dolls challenge this week!  It's been awhile since I had seen Tim Burton's The Corpse Bride , so Tuesday night I popped in the ol' dvd and snuggled in with the K-9 kiddos. I forgot that it was a musical... of which I'm not a fan... but I still liked the movie :)  The dark palette with the eerie blue moonlight... love it!  So that set the tone for my card today. Once again, I grabbed my Haute Couture diva from The Angel Company... LOVE her.  This isn't the first time she's been a creepy bride.  Remember THIS card?!  I created a fence with my latest border punch (another "LOVE it"!)  I used the Scor-bug to create the pickets and added a bit o' green bling... it is her wedding day after all :) Stamps:   Haute Couture (retired TAC) Paper:  Bazzil, white ultrasmooth & black cardstocks Ink:  Palette Noir Other:   EK Success edger punches, tulle, S

Ok, so the idea that was floating around in my head for this challenge, didn't actually hit the worksurface as I imagined it.  So I have ANOTHER idea that I can hopefully get done in the next day or two :) Me thinks I should have NOT used the white ink in the sky... just sayin' .  I must say that I do LOVE the double border punched scene at the bottom.  AND the butterfly came out pretty good, too :)  Definitely a fun one to color. The butterfly is a $.99 digi created by Angelia from Scrap Your Scraps , who just happens to be a buddy of mine!  You definitely need to check out the original digi... I actually inverted it & cut the antennae & curly-q's off since I didn't want to cut AROUND those little suckers :) See the clouds?  I actually used a VersaMarker and colored just a portion of a border stamp (left off the vines & foof), as well as to highlight the gravestones and top of the fence.  A little embossing powder & heat gun... and voila... s

Another challenge card!  Barb over at Stamp It Crazy is holding a challenge for a spinner card... it will end on Monday night, so better hurry!  It's been a LONG time since I've done one of these... I forgot how fun they are to make! And I had so much fun doing The Burtonesque Dolls' skull & black flower challenge , I decided to add that to the mix again as well.  Same tissue paper & Glimmer Mist technique as the last one, but with a smaller flower die. Stamps:  Creepy Tree (Stamp It Crazy), Punk Princess (retired TAC) Paper:  Bazzill & black cardstocks Ink:  Memento Tuxedo & VersaFine Onyx Other:  Copics (BV20 & 0), Black Gold Glimmer Mist, tissue paper, Micron pen, pennies & pop dot Don't you LOVE that creepy tree?  VERY Burton-esque, no?  :)  And I thought the sentiment was kinda lovey-dovey... hmmm... I wonder if Poot would appreciate this card for our next anniversary... ... maybe not :)

I've got a three-fer!  I knew I had to finish a card for my own HDH039 challenge (duh), but then the Burtonesque Dolls & Busy Beauties Boutique teamed up with a sketch, and THEN the Burtonesque Dolls also had their third challenge for using skulls & black flowers! HDH039:   I was seriously stumped with this one, people.  I have NO doctor/nurse type images.  None.  Nada.  Nothing even remotely close.  Well, a month or two ago I bought this awesome vampyre image from Stamp It Crazy that hadn't seen any ink yet {GASP!!!} Isn't she great?!  Her fiendish smile reminded me of what Oz had mentioned about nurses drawing blood ;)  I drew a little nurse's cap, though I know I've never seen a nurse outfit like this ;)  Sexy and sinister, no? Yeay... got my card done, and only a day late :)  I went for a touch of the cute on this one guys... hopefully your not too disappointed... I'm sure Poot is happier with this one ;)  I used white in addition to the purple, teal, black & yellow requirements, but oh well! This awesome image is from Stamp It Crazy ... too darn cute, right... I colored her with Copics.  Well, when I first got this stamp, I was trying to figure out what that thing was on her broom handle (the yellow thing).  And then it hit me like a bus... it must be a huge dust bunny, right?!  I know they are prevalent around here... only laced with dog hair :) The outside sentiment is from Bugawumps, and on the inside, the card says: "...like the Killer Dustbunnies under your bed." Oh!  And see that fan-freakin'-tastic black holey trim?  That is a bit of yumminess from Creepy Glowbugg ...
