Macabre Monday #026 - Vampy Vampyress

HDH Macabre Monday Rules:
1. Create a Halloweenie SOMETHING (card, scrap page, altered item, whatever) that follows the specific Macabre Monday challenge given. Cutesy is fine, but creepy is better :)
2. You have until the following Sunday night @ 5pm central time to post your creation and please leave a direct-link back here.
3. If you upload to any online galleries (TACPCC, S&S, PCP, SCS, etc.), please tag the title using HDH026.
4. Weekly giveaways!  Some weeks will be loaded with loot, others not-so-much... but the thrill is in the win, right?!  Some prizes shall be by random drawing, others hand picked... and I'm not telling you ahead of time :)
5. I'll be selecting a weekly Gruesome Twosome (my top two favorite creations) from all the players. At the end of every month these will be compiled and a Master of Macabre will be selected. He/she will be asked to be a guest blogger for the following month, if they so wish, and receive a little giftie from me... this could be stamp sets, handmade items, papers, halloweenie embellishments... you just never know.

Ok, my little pretties... your challenge this week:
Vampy Vampyress

You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween page, project or card using an image of a vampyre or vampyress.  Decrepit or sexy, mysterious or "in your face"...  let's see those fanged fiends!
And look, can you believe I finished my card on time?!  I know, I've TOTALLY been slacking as of late, but since I've been working full time again, I'm mojo-less after work :(  What's good is that I just received a fresh supply of creepy-cool images from Stamp It Crazy!  I LOVE happy mail!

I altered a fairy image to create this vampyress... I blackened the eyes & then added fangs with a white gel pen.  The original image is so pretty, put I needed a little bit of vamp in there :)

Stamps:  fairy FY38 (Stamp It Crazy), Mini-bet (TAC), Creative Inspiration (retire TAC)

Paper:  White UltraSmooth & DCWV cardstocks, and black Bazzill

Other:  Icicle Stickles, Scor-bug, Mini Attacher (Tim Holtz), lace fabric, Copic markers

I am trying to get the hang of those Copics still... luckily I'll be getting Copic certified on Sunday the 21st!  Can't wait :)  I did pretty good on the wings, but now you can't tell since I coated them in glitter!

Barb from Stamp It Crazy has offered up this fairy image for our prize winner this week!  So let's get Vampy, people!!

I just showed ridiculous behaviour: Reload the side to see wheter there are new entries. I think that is a serious sign of additive behaviour.
Well, I did some crafting to overcome it...

Very cool card, Barb. The staples are great - love this little detail on the right side of the image. I also love your coloring with the little extra sparkle.

Brilliant challenge. I had so much fun creating my bookmark. I just have to find a scanner or camera.

Btw. I "stole" the idea of adding fangs to a mouth - or altering the mouth- for my vampy creation...

Just want to let you know I visit here frequently and always enjoy it, I just haven't had the mojo and/or the time to play.

Can't seem to comment on Oz or Susan's blogs but great projects and Oz, I like that he's protesting!

Also, I love the inspiration card and the sentiment. So darn cute in a snarky way.

Wonder what is up with that Charlene.. I would never block you from my blog..(shifting over to hide the padlock).. must be a glitch in the google.

twisting my Snidely Whiplash moustache and snickering a bit...

I've been thinking of what stamp I'd like to twist into a vampire and I love my guys so much I can't condemn to an eternity of undeadness. I don't care for those Magnolia stamps. They got NO MOUTHS. I'd almost buy one of those ickingly sweet things just to smack a mouth with fangs on it. (is it wrong or politically incorrect to dislike a bunch of stamps)
funny thing, I love the MFT stamps that have no heads.

Hey Chris, get a digi stamp, it is cheaper and then you can slap a mouth and teeth on the thing... we will all be the better for it and it won't cost ya as much...hehe

yeah... do it to one of the Anya ones at The Greeting Farm... yeah....

What... oh no Barb, I am not causing trouble... I am just sitting here.

"What... oh no Barb, I am not causing trouble... I am just sitting here." Oz, it appears that your halo is a little crooked & tarnished :)

Hi Chris,
I think I can remember that you wanted to alter a magnolia stamp for the sinister smirk challenge. Well, perhaps we should make a "alter magnolia faces without magnolia stamps" project - I don't have any, too but like you I am tempted to do some real cruel things to them... If I only would get some into my fingers ...
