HDH127 - Macabre Mistress style...

Image
Two weeks in a row?!  I can't believe it either.  I'm sure I just jinxed myself :)  But, yes, I was able to play along with Macabre Monday ! I've been a fan of Octopode Factory's images since they first came on to the scene.  I love the bold lines and the creepy quirky style.  This week, we've been lucky enough to be sponsored by OF... and here is my offering: I used the head of  Frankenstein's Bride , the body of Morticia , and also the severed head of the Headless Spectre .  KaiserCraft patterned paper, Martha Stewart edge punches (x3), May Arts black web trim, & a sentiment stamp from River City Rubberworks round out this card. I added Glossy Accents to the eyes and the blood... looks great IRL.  I just love how this image looks... and it's from three different digis!   You've still got a couple of days to play along for a chance at some Octopode Factory goodness!  Are you up for the challenge?...

HDH116 Chic Freaks - Macabre Mistress style...

Image
Can you believe I actually am playing along this week?!!  I swear it's been for-FREAKIN-evah since I've had the chance to create something for this blog :)  But there was no way I was gonna miss out on a week sponsored by Stampotique! First off, I wanna show off my Stampotique collection.  I have my Daniel Torrente blocks displayed so that I can see them from my desk: JOY!  I've also got a little cube stamp w/ four Torrente images, but you can't see it here.  You may be asking yourself: "uh, Barb... I haven't seen you use all of these before... WTF?"  Yes, it's true, dammit.  The cube, fence, door & head background have yet to see ink :( And here are my latest additions, courtesy of Stampotique (thanks SO much!)... " Olivia " & " Glimmering Hope ": I tried to go all simple-dark-elegant-chic for Olivia... Toner Grey & Red Copics on kraft cardstock, MME paper, my favorite trim by May Art...

Cuteness alert

Image
I started out all dark, but it just kept turning cuter and cuter :)  But I'm so glad I was able to play along this week with Dilly Beans and our "I was Framed" challenge !  I still might work up another one... without pink... but we'll see how time permits ;)   See... told ya'!  Ca-yoot.  I used Dilly Beans' "Framed Zombie Girl 2" image (scroll down a bit)  along with some paper from a Basic Grey 6x6 pad.  And look at the flower... THAT would be one of Creepy Glowbugg's Bwainz ... LOVE it as a flower center!!!   So enjoy your dose of creepy cuteness for the evening.  I'll try to go all darkside next time... I don't want anyone to think I've lost my evil edge ;)   And you still have a few days to play along with this week's challenge!!  Who wouldn't want to win some of those creepy-cute images from Dilly Beans?!!!

HDH086 - Alone in the Dark - by Barb

Image
Haven't you LOVED all of the Minions' work this week?!!  And are you loving the Delicious Doodles digi's?!  Fantastic!  And now... a little sumpin' sumpin' from me: please click to enlarge photos... they look a little better I used Free Spirit for this one.  LOVE her!  And of course I can't photograph anything red and have it turn out right, so you'll have to trust me when I say this looks waaaaaaaaaaaay better in person. I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder, MS graveyard & grass punches, and the EK Success bracket punch.  The sentiment is one from Stamp Insanity. You've only got a little over a day to enter this week's challenge ... and it's SUCH an easy one!  Don't you want some deliciously dark digi's from Delicious Doodles ?

Happy Birthday to the Creepy Cricut Cween, Donna!!

Image
Yep, it's CCC Donna's birthday today.  We don't know how old she is, because she said that a lady never tells... hmmmmm... I don't see no ladies around here... but we'll just go with it :) I made you a card, Donna, and I'm hoping it will get to you by tomorrow or the next day.  So this might spoil it, but you'll just have to suck it up! Great sentiment, right?  PERFECT for Donna, me thinks... especially since she IS so FABULOUS.  That's right, Donna, I said it... in that non-hoity-toity kind of way ;) The image is from Stampotique, the sentiment is from Missy B's, the edge punch is EK Success, the ribbon is from Michael's dollar bin (oh yes... yes it is... and it is delightful), and the AWESOME silver background is some wallpaper that Creepy Glowbugg sent to me.  LOVE IT! I know I'm stretching it a bit, but this card uses the SDC#29 sketch over at the Stampotique challenge blog .  I used Daniel Torrente's Prom Queen for the 1st r...

SBS Summer Zombie Previews - Betty

Image
DISCLAIMER :  This is one bright-ass card.  I'm just sayin'. It is so sunshiney, that my skin is starting to blister just looking at it :)   I have crawled so far out of my box, that I may never find my way back... the one saving grace is that the card has a zombie on it.  :)  Otherwise you might have thought some sweet & cheery people went all willy-nilly with the HDH blog and had the Minions and I tucked away in the dungeon, right? Sorry... tangent... on to the Summer Zombie Betty preview! I know, right?  I must say that the iced brain cream cone is pretty awesome. I went with the bright green, Frankenstein-esque skin tone for this one.  And that is one brassy bleach job she had done... just sayin'. Wanna see some more Summer Zombie Betty?  Pop on over to the Simply Betty Stamps Blog for photos and links.  And don't forget that there will be two more Summer Zombies to go & Friday is Release Day, where you'll be able...

SBS Summer Zombie Preview Day 2 - Rio

Image
Yep, Day 2... I missed the first day, so be sure to run over to the Simply Betty Stamps Blog for yesterday's Summer Zombie Lola !  We will be showcasing a new Summer Zombie everyday from today until Friday... which is their official release for both digi and clear stamps! More news... once all the stamps are made into either rubber or clear form the SBS digis will be retired.  Betty will begin the retiring process in the next few weeks so make sure you grab the Emos before they go as they will be some of the first ones to be retired from digi form.  Again, for all the details regarding this, please read yesterday's post on the SBS blog . Now, on to today's Summer Zombieness:  Summer Zombie Rio ! I know I've been doing super simple cards lately... but the images are so large that there just isn't room to foof up too much ;)  I DID manage to squeeze in one of Creepy Glowbugg's GlowSkullz... right on top of an old Heidi Swapp flower & some awesome web ...
