Hallowe'en Nuptials

I don't know about most of you, but when I got married some
15 years ago, I wasn't even aware of how cool my wedding could have been.
I opted for the traditional(ish) wedding, with a white(ish) dress,
normal cake and the only thing we did do different was have our
ceremony over looking Lake Tahoe from a cliff. There was a boat
in the water during our vows that kept yelling, "Jump!". Funny.

Anyhoo, if I could do it all over again I would! I'd still pick the same guy (even if
he doesn't share my love of the macabre or Hallowe'en - I know, I know),
but a totally different ceremony, cake, and dress!

Here is what I'm talking about....

So very beautiful and elegant.

Now I could probably sneak these little lovelies in underneath
that gorgeous gown.

I like the idea of showing the bridesmaids in their
true form. Really, it's usually the truth.

Every wedding needs an ice sculpture!!

And a cake or two...

It totally goes with the dress!

I like the bright colors and the awesome spider webbed
candelabras at every table.

If only I knew then, what I know now...
I'd still be paying for that wedding!!

I totally agree...my hubby would have joined me very willingly into nuptials like that...we both love all things Halloween, horror and the bloodier the better. TFS!!!

The pictures you have put up are almost perfect for the type of wedding I'd love to have .... one day. I already have the willing participant so thats probably the hardest bit sorted, lol.
I'm in the same boat as you Glo, when I suggested wearing black my Mum told me in a disdainful tone "You are the Bride, you CAN NOT wear black!" then her head started spinning around and exploded, well almost LOL If I could have my time again I would go for all the things in those pictures :)

GORGEOUS STUFF! LOL I always wanted to get married on Halloween and have a costume party for a reception... didn't quite work out, though. Maybe for my 25th anniversary or something.... LOL

Perhaps we should consider renewing our vows. LOVE this and my inlaws would have a heart attack! LOL (okay, so I wouldn't invite them). xxD

I'm so with you on this :) We got married at a registry office(year after miners strike, had to cancel church do cos of said strike), but we got to say our vows in church when a lovely vicar held a marriage blessing for the village we lived in. Now I want to have a Hand fasting ceremony...no limits on outfits for that one :D XXX
