HDH086 - Alone in the Dark - by Barb

Image
Haven't you LOVED all of the Minions' work this week?!!  And are you loving the Delicious Doodles digi's?!  Fantastic!  And now... a little sumpin' sumpin' from me: please click to enlarge photos... they look a little better I used Free Spirit for this one.  LOVE her!  And of course I can't photograph anything red and have it turn out right, so you'll have to trust me when I say this looks waaaaaaaaaaaay better in person. I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder, MS graveyard & grass punches, and the EK Success bracket punch.  The sentiment is one from Stamp Insanity. You've only got a little over a day to enter this week's challenge ... and it's SUCH an easy one!  Don't you want some deliciously dark digi's from Delicious Doodles ?

HDH083 - Magically Witchy, Macabre Mistress style...

Image
I confess, I've had this AWESOME image colored up for a couple of weeks now... thankfully, otherwise I would not have been able to play along this week!  The image is "The Key" from Stitchy Bear Stamps . As you can see, I had a little fun with my MS grass border punch :)  As well as an EK Success one.  The background paper is from Rusty Pickle's Thriller collection... LOVE IT.  I'm so sad that I only bought one sheet of this.  It had three other 6x6 patterns that you'll see eventually, but this one is my fave. You'll notice that I added a hat to Stitchy's image... after all, the challenge is "Magically Witchy" :)  I did save it as a jpeg, so if anyone wants it, just email me and I'll send it to you.  Or wait until later tonight and I'll edit this post and add it here.  I slit the hat so that it slid right on her head.  Genius, me thinks. Well, off to get some work done... and don't forget that you have until Sunday night to...

Fiendishly Fun Friday, HDH081 - Dastardly Diva, Macabre Mistress style...

Image
Woo Hoo, baby... I was able to play along again this week!  And though my card doesn't exude a lot of dastardliness, the image is still smokin' hot :) Yowsa!  If I batted for the same team, I think I'd be turned on right about now... I had a lot of fun coloring up this awesome image from Barbara Jensen :  Poison Ivy .  The look in her eyes is enough to call this one a dastardly diva!  Since she was earthy feeling, I used some paper from DCWV's green stack & got all flowery with fabric & stick pin flowers.  The ribbon is some random awesomeness I came across at Michaels last year.  Sentiment is from TAC's Joy, Found . I could not capture the coloring of Ivy as good as it is in person, so you'll have to trust me ':)  These are the Copic colors I used for her skin:  E11, E01, E00, E000, R02 (cheeks) Hair:  E07, YR18, YR15, YR12 Ivy:  can't remember... oopsie! Well kids... you still have a few days left to enter your Dast...

One Hot Bi-atch

Image
Ok, so even though I'm not following my own challenge, I figured you MIGHT want to see SOMETHING creative from me... I know... it's been awhile :)  I'm not getting into here, but if I start not making sense, let's just say it's the NyQuil hangover talkin', ok?  :) Soooooooo, I've had this card done for awhile and have been waiting to see if a challenge would come up where I could use it.  But alas.  No. This is Molly from Stamp It Crazy (page down a little).  She comes as a rubber stamp or as a digi!  And I have to say that I think this is the best I've done at coloring skin.  It looks even better in person!  I love this image... she DEFINITELY looks like a bad-ass. I can't remember all of the colors I used, but I do know that her skin was done with Copics E11, E13, E15 and I think her hair used YR23, YR24 & E09.  I know... super simple card, but I like it.  The green & image panels are popped up for dimension. What do you...

HDH067 - Paper Pandemonium ala Barb...

Image
See... I TOLD you I already had it done!  I actually had finished this over a week ago :)  thankfully, because work has had me freakin' swamped!  No fun time for me, dammit :( Anyhoo, back to today's (last week's) bit o' fun: For my offering for HDH067 Paper Pandemonium challenge, I used three different papers from Crafty Chaos Designs .   The line is called Velvet Descent .   LOVE it!  I also used one of Susan's images called Part of Me . The pictures aren't great... the violet looks more grapey-purple than it's supposed to look :)  And it's MUCH more blended in real life... WTF? I LOVE the black rose trim from American Crafts.  I can't remember where the black baubles came from, and the edger punch is EK Sucess (or is it a MS?).  Oi.  Where's my head? Well, I'm off (yeah... waaaaaaaaay off) to get some more work done.  Ugh.  Cross your fingers and cast a spell that I may find time on Sunday to announce some past winners...

HDH051 - Netherworld Nymphs... by Barb

Image
**If you are looking for Simply Betty's Back to School Emos Blog Hop , please scroll down to next post!**   Can you believe it... I made it just under the wire!  The Queen of Procrastination strikes again.  I should have already had next week's card done by now... HAAAA HAAA... yeah right. This little nymph image is from Stamp It Crazy... which is still one of my absolute faves.  I squeezed her onto a regular A2 sized card... she really needs a little more space though... no room for foof. That ribbon is about a 100 million years old and is some cheap crap from Target $1 spot or something.  But, the color was perfect... though the bow won't poof up because it's kinda crispy feeling ;)  So I topped it with another GlowSkullz embellie. Stamps:   MS182 LG Gothic w/ Branch Wings (Stamp It Crazy), Thinking of You (TAC) Paper:  Bazzill and Neenah cardstocks Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Other:   Scor-Bug , Tim Holtz edge die, GlowSkullz , c...

HDH050 Ice Queen Angel

Image
Well, after seeing all of the fantabulousness from the Minions , I am embarrassed to show this piddly thing, but I will! I needed something quick and easy, and since Torrente's images are so skinny, there isn't much room for a lot of coloring :)  Bonus:  another winter holiday card done!  Yeay!  That makes, what, like four that I've done so far... good grief... I need to pick up the pace! Stamps:   Angel ( Stampotique ), Merry Words ( retired TAC ) Paper:   Bazzill , DCWV , black & Neenah white cardstocks Ink:   Memento Tuxedo, Cote d'Azure Palette Other:   Nesties , Tim Holtz edge die, EK Success edger punch, misc. rhinestones Copics:  0, BG02, BG05, BG07, BV20 Tune in tomorrow for Fiendishly Fun Friday AND a Simply Betty Bloghop!!!

I couldn't take it....

Image
... all of that rubber... sitting there... staring at me... mocking me... I cracked. Ta da!  It was so worth it... ya' know... not getting some of the non-fun stuff done that I really need to get done :)  Isn't she awesome?!  This is one of the Goddess stamps from Elementals from Smeared Ink ... me likey alot.  I almost started with regular skin tones and thought better of it... I'm so glad.  I think I'll have to buy refill ink for my Copic markers soon, but man I had fun. I added Crystal Lacquer on the water drop tattoos, eyes & lips... o-so-shiney :)  I seriously tried to get a decent photo, but I'm telling you right now the skin shading looks way better in person. One thing I might do next time is mask off the inked cheek area... I HAVE been know to perform stamp surgery before... cutting out elements or snipping them apart... but I'm thinking Terra might hex me if I did that :)  AND this is such a lover-ly stamp image... maybe I'd better ...
