The Happiest Day of the Year!!

Image
Happy Hallowe'en!!!! Seems like we are waiting all year for this day, here in the dungeon. Then, when it finally arrives, it's so bittersweet. After getting the monster off to school, decked out in his finest "Amanda Bynes" attire, I have had the morning to work on some last minute projects, and watch scary movies since 7 AM. I wish the programming was always like this. I wanted to share an awesome make by Minion Sister Teri, using her wonderfully wicked images from her shop, Delicious Doodles . Teri is such an incredibly talented artist. She makes some of the  very best dark digi images around. She also has quite the knack for creating beautiful mainstream images, as well. Beautifully dark and sexy! Gorgeous and fun! To see more of this incredible booklet, check out  Teri's personal blog .   There is a sale currently underway at  Delicious Doodles . 25% off the entire store! I am offering up some blog ...

Just a little quickie today, from Ike . This project includes a sexy wolfman from Ike's World , a mad scientist image from Smeared Ink , and a screamin' zombie from Rick St. Dennis . The archway is a Tando Creative product, with really cool brickwork added to it. Thanks for dropping by!  Feel free to leave a comment and share what you think is going on in that archway. Imagine it to be a movie poster for some old throwback B horror film of the 60's. Or even a newer, "yet to be a genre" type of foreign film.  Best idea gets a prize. I'm not sayin' what kind of prize,  but it will probably have something to do with  Hallowe'en. EDIT: Contest has closed. Winner will be announced shortly.   Keep it creepy!

One more.... and some Gruesome Twosomes

Image
The 2nd week of   this challenge   is almost up, but there is still some time left to join in on the dimensional fun and  be in the running to win a killer grab bag of Tando die cuts. I chose the webbed archway for my project. It gave me a good opportunity to use some of my favorite textures on each layer.   I also tried some textures on the coffin blank I found in my stash. I used TH Distress paint, some pigment ink in a metallic purple, and then  I used clear embossing powder to set the pigment ink. Luckily, it all worked. I also colored the orange rose and the small black bud using Copics to match my Sweet Pea image. Drop by my blog for more details and pics.  And now for some long overdue Gruesome Twosome announcements. The Gruesomes for the Octopode/Hallowe'en in your face   challenge are: Suzanne and Wendy/PaperWhims  Congrats ladies.  Please contact Mark to cl...

The House that Cthulhu Built

Image
So far, so good. We're chuggin' right along now. Autumn is upon us, and a chill is in the air. The leaves are turning, and the smell of pumpkin candles are permeating the funk of summer. Well, in my house anyway. I am an Autumn People!!! I have been busy getting my Etsy shop stocked with unique, and affordable Hallowe'en themed goodies to bring the joy of the season to you. Even though I set out to create items to sell, sometimes I fall in love with a  particular piece, and it never sees the shop. Here is my latest love affair. I hung onto for sentimental reasons, mainly because I didn't want to hurt his feelings, and because I am a hoarder of  pretty much, everything .  I sanded it, then painted it out in gesso, and added different texture mediums. These steps killed two birds with one...
