Haunted Design House

Yep, it's Friday, so it's time for another Simply Betty Stamps Challenge! Our challenge is using any SBS image: anything Birthday of course!  Three lucky winners will be chosen to receive TWO Sweet Gothic Kids Rubber Stamps (the link is for the digi listing, but you can see the images!).  For exact details and the challenge linky, please go to the SBS Challenge blog . Now, my project today is actually a gift bag hang tag... and it's a biggie :)  Probably about 9" tall me thinks.  BUT I was trying to use up scraps without having to cut much... I'm lazy like that sometimes ;)  What is nice is that this also qualifies for my HDH MACABRE MONDAY Body Bags & Toe Tags challenge for this week!  Yeah, I KNOW... I got to play along after all :) This is Alex... my favorite of the SGK Birthday images... I can't wait for you to see the Easter ones. O.M.G. Becky... they are sooooo cute!  But you'll just have to way a week or so for those {insert si...

This edition of Wicked Wednesday is a bit tardy as it is "Zombie Week" on the Chiller channel and I am easily distracted by the undead. For this week's Macabre Monday challenge of "Toe Tags and Body Bags", we are to design a tag or a bag with a creepy twist. I went with tags. I had fun decoupaging this one with various images, stamps, mulberry papers, and a charm. This was a digital tag that I embossed and cracked. I also added a handmade coffin charm and some fibers. Here is a good picture of the iridescent embossing and the cracked glass effect. Drop by my blog for more info on these tags and a heads up regarding the next Macabre Monday challenge. Now get busy and make some unorthodox tags and bags !!!! You have until this Sunday at 10PM CST.

HDH Macabre Monday Rules: 1 . Create a dark and macabre SOMETHING (card, scrap page, altered item, whatever) that follows the specific Macabre Monday challenge given. Cutesy is fine, but creepy is better :) 2. You have until the following Sunday night @ 5pm central time to post your creation and please leave a direct-link back here. Please make sure that your blog post / upload has been made AFTER the challenge date... we wanna see fresh stuff, not those from a few weeks ago!! 3. If you upload to any online galleries (TACPCC, S&S, PCP, SCS, etc.) , please tag the title using HDH079 . 4. Weekly giveaways! Some weeks will be loaded with loot, others not-so-much ... but the thrill is in the win, right?! Some prizes shall be by random drawing, others hand picked... and I'm not telling you ahead of time :) 5. We'll be selecting a weekly Gruesome Twoso me (our top two favorite creations) from all the players. At the end of every month these will be compiled and a M...

Welcome! Creepy G here for my very first installment of   "Wicked Wednesday"! The "Old Masterful One" has allowed me to post my Macabre Monday DT offerings on Wednesdays, to spice things up a bit and give you yet another reason to visit our little slice of hell here on a hump day!   This week's challenge is "My Beloved Monster".   My first card was a bit on the sweet side (you can check it out here if you dare!), so I made another card, more fitting for the challenge and more "Haunted Design House-friendly".   It's no secret that my most beloved of the monsters is the ZOMBIE! I loves me some undead! I went for my new "mottled zombie" coloring technique and am quite pleased with how the Frankenstein-like image turned out. I found it on Google images, but I'm not sure of  it's talented artist. I mounted "her" (see fleshy mound above her left arm) on black card stock and then onto some red mulberry paper. ...

Betty from Simply Betty Stamps has been cracking the whip, and her new artists are cranking out some fun stuff!  Today, I'll be showing you a couple of new images from the Veronica & Gang line.  If you've arrived from Angela's blog , you are on the right track... if not, please head over to the Simply Betty Stamps Challenge blog for details on how you can get your mitts on some of these images... possibly for free! Now, for today's bit of crafty-goodness: This is Mary Jane , and she is my FAVORITE of this line.  VERY cute, but me thinks you could vamp her out a bit :)  The sentiment is from StampInsanity. How do you like the GlowSkullz garter embellishment?!  Me LOVES it :)  My girl and Macabre Minion, Creepy Glowbugg hooked me up with some of these sah-weet skully buttons in white... thanks, man!  She makes several colors... you can purchase some HERE .  And check out her Etsy store HERE ! There's a lot of pop-dot action on this baby....
