Sorry for the repeat, if anyone already saw this card on my  personal blog . Just wanted to share with the Countdown. I colored Nutmeg (from Dilly Beans ) in Halloween colors, and she is a perfect representation of me, anxiously awaiting the return of The Walking Dead .  (Non-blurry version) Rest in Pieces!!!

Movie Madness mid week inspiration

Image
It's that time of the week again!! Time for a little hump day horror and a chance to inspire some of you to play along with our Movie Madness challenge.     I am joined today by my Sister Minion, Donna, and our wonderfully crafty guest DT, Nancy. We have such sights to show you! First up, Guest Minion Nancy : Nancy is using  "Zombie Alice" , a Spesch Designer Stamp . Nancy's 3D work is just amazing!   Now I went the route of the overachiever this week. I made two projects, but only because I couldn't decide on which Spesch image to use. First up, we have ... Fleetwood. That's Fleetwood Coupe de Ville, baby!! From "The Wiz".   This is actually the "Oz Lion" from our sponsor, Spesch Designer Stamps . I just lurve him! I didn't want to go all Disney with the creepy/sad Lion King, and I didn't want to go with the Wizard of Oz, so The Wiz allowed me the funkade...

Wretched Wednesday - HDH131 CASE a Minion

Image
This week's Macabre Monday theme is turning out to be quite the challenging challenge.  C opy A nd S teal E verything from one of the Minion's brilliant DT samples this week. We even made it a little easier by allowing you to just pull inspiration from one of the Minions, but make sure it is obvious who you are CASE ing.  I didn't even try to make it any easier with my sample. It's really cool though, huh? Surprise, surprise! I went with a zombie angel theme. I hand painted and zombified each rotten little cherub (5 of them), and then affixed them to each side of this cute little jewelry box that I also repainted and made fancy. I put together a little collage piece where the photo is supposed to go, that matches the theme perfectly. A little red Stickles to make the blood sparkle, and this project is fini!  Inside shot of the box. Where else are you going to put your brain rings?! ...

Arrrrrrrgh...

After seeing what Creepy Glowbugg did with all of those Delicious Doodles images, I didn't even want to post this.  Wasn't that step card amazing?!!!  Me.  So.  Jealous. So, here is my no-frills card for you: That Zombie Pirate image by Teri is awesome, isn't it?  So to make it center-stage, I just used some Karen Foster "Dragon's Gate" paper scraps & popped up the matted image. You still have a few days to play along for the chance at some Delicious Doodles digis!  Check out THIS post for details :)

Wretched Wednesday - Garden of Good and Evil

Image
This week's Macabre Monday challenge is Garden of Good and Evil . I wanted to make a dimensional project out of clay, but wasn't sure which direction I should go with it. I have been looking for a frog to zombify for months. I was inspired by something I read on the Frog Queen's blog, and thought how cool she would think I was if I made a  zombie frog . Problem was, I never could find an acceptable ceramic frog specimen for this project. So, I decided to just make the damned thing myself!  Here is my silly clay version of a zombie frog .  I'm not sure it translates well, but he is eating a frog hand. That's his tongue wrapped around it. I decided to make a garden background for my amphibian of the living dead . I used the awesome graveyard scene from  Delicious Doodles , and colored it with the BV range of Copics. I added some Tim Holtz  trees, and some MS border punches, and then mounted it onto black card stock.  I used vellum...

HDH110 - Gods and Monsters and some Gruesome Twosomes

***DISCLAIMER*** The following bit of art is purely intended for entertainment purposes and is in no way a direct slap to organized religion. I hope you can appreciate it in the spirit in which it is intended. If you are devoutly religious, easily offended, or just new around here, you have been warned.  This week's Macabre Monday challenge here at HDH is Gods and Monsters . I love the movie and I like the juxtaposition of the two words. Here is my interpretation of the challenge. Say hello to ZomBaby Jesus ! I remember the cashier at the thrift store telling me that they had the whole Nativity set  if I was interested. I can also fondly recall the look of disdain and the rush to end my transaction after I told her what I had planned for this sweet baby Jesus. Don't ask. I won't tell.   There is stil time to play along at HDH this week, and there is an awesome prize up for grabs from this week's sponsor The C...

Cuteness alert

I started out all dark, but it just kept turning cuter and cuter :)  But I'm so glad I was able to play along this week with Dilly Beans and our "I was Framed" challenge !  I still might work up another one... without pink... but we'll see how time permits ;)   See... told ya'!  Ca-yoot.  I used Dilly Beans' "Framed Zombie Girl 2" image (scroll down a bit)  along with some paper from a Basic Grey 6x6 pad.  And look at the flower... THAT would be one of Creepy Glowbugg's Bwainz ... LOVE it as a flower center!!!   So enjoy your dose of creepy cuteness for the evening.  I'll try to go all darkside next time... I don't want anyone to think I've lost my evil edge ;)   And you still have a few days to play along with this week's challenge!!  Who wouldn't want to win some of those creepy-cute images from Dilly Beans?!!!
