Last chance...

I'm running quite late this week and since our  yearly celebration of Hallow'een fell on a hump day, I'm late for the mid week inspiration as well.   The challenge this week is Hammer House of Horror . Choose a Hammer film, a Hammer actor, or Hammer movie monster, and let it be your muse for this challenge. We're looking for non-cute and/or horror inspired creations. The options really are limitless for this one.    It's your last chance to thrill us for the year. This will be our last scheduled challenge for 2012. And it's your last chance to have your name cast into the bubbling cauldron to win this month's Master of the Macabre!   First up is the finished product of Mark's  Peter Cushing box , with a twist.     The front of the book, featuring Mister Cushing.   The spine of the book pulls out to reveal a secret drawer. Nice!   And the back cover, w...

Wretched Wednesday Nosferatu Ad nauseam

Image
It is Wednesday already! Only one week until Hallowe'en!! I add the exclamation points to give the illusion of enthusiasm. I am B-U-R-N-T out this year! I didn't even decorate my house. I know! The shock and horror of it all! I figure I have enough everyday Hallowe'en inspired stuff adorning my house. To the layman, I decorated. Kinda bummed, but not enough to warrant going through 20 boxes of decorations, only to have it out for a week or two. Then comes Creepmas....         Anyhoo, the challenge this week is basically, vampires . Easy enough with everyone already having their Halloween supplies out and at the ready. No cute schtuff please.   We are sponsored this week by Rick St. Dennis , who has generously offered up 3 free digis of choice to the GTs this week.     We have a couple of samples to get your mid week mojo flowin'.   Creepy Cricut Cween Donna :    ...

Wretched Wednesday - Freaker's Free for All

Image
It's that time of the week where I try to entice you with my wares. The Macabre Monday challenge this week is Freaker's Free for All and we are sponsored by   I used a few Tiddly Inks images for this one. I used  "Vamp Me" as my main image. I also used the  headstone and the coffin from the Vampire extras pack. I attached everything to a floral oval Spellbinder and added some paper fleurs for that overall Gothic feel. I am not a big Vampire fan (I like the dirty werewolves better- like Alcide Herveaux), but this is a sweet image, perfect for the newer generation of Gothic glamourists and Vampyr lovers. The challenge is anything goes, so why not play along with, well, anything!!! As long as it's Hallowe'en or Gothic in nature, we'd love to see it! And now the moment you've all been waiting for, the naming of the Gruesome Twosome from last week's Movie Madness challenge. Congratulations ...

Macabre Monday HDH136 Truebie or not to Truebie

Image
*Please see the sidebar for HDH Macabre Monday Rules* ( Note: entries not following the guidelines are not eligible for prizes or badges ) Okay, macabre fans ... your challenge this week: HDH136 " Truebie or not to Truebie. " You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween -based art piece that represents or celebrates the upcoming season debut of The Mistress's favorite television show, True Blood . It starts up again for it's 5th season on HBO this coming Sunday.   This pleases the Mistress. If you aren't familiar with the show you can google clips or episodes, but basically it's about a bunch of highly sexual vampires, werewolves, shape shifters, mediums, and witches, (and were panthers, too - some crazy shit huh?) trying to coexist (or not) amongst the humans in Louisiana. The show is somewhat loosely based on the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris. We are joined this month by our first Guest DT Cryst...
