Welcome back to another exciting Macabre Monday challenge!! The new challenge theme is StEaMpUnK JuNk That's right, it's time to gather up those bits and bobs, odd and ends, and make something Steampunk-y with them! That's why there are metallic paints, right? The idea is to reuse, or up-cycle something(s) in your junk drawer, or something destined for the trash bin. Make it into a Steampunk inspired project. Got it? Need some visual stimulation? How about this? It's that time of week again when the Mistress lets us out of our cages to wreak a little havoc on hump day! We are showing off our projects for this week's Macabre Monday Music Mayhem challenge. Mine is kind of a stretch, but I really wanted to use this image from Delicious Doodles . Her name is Steampunk Sally , but for my purposes her new name is ... " Whole Lotta Neon Rosie " inspired by AC/DC's "Whole Lotta Rosie".   I had all these new neon glitters that were just screaming to be played with, and then this image has been just daring me to give it some life. I even used some of my fluorescent Copics. I now know why I need fluorescent orange and yellow. And now for something completely opposite in both song choice and color palette. Ok.  It's not Halloweenie OR creepy, but I'm sharing anyway :) Today I wanted to share a mini-card... the challenge came from the CARDS blog .  Just click the link to find out the details :) I love mini-cards... they do not have a lot of 'real estate' with which to work, so the challenge comes from trying to foof up a pretty small canvas :)  I worked with one of the new Steampunk Gang digis from Simply Betty Stamps ... LOVE them!  She commissioned a new artist that has such a wonderful style. I chose salmon, olive & mustard as a color palette, which I think compliments the image very well.  I added lace & velvet trims along with the metal elements to add to the whole vintage steampunk genre. I packed this little 3x3 card with quite a bit of punch, no?
