It doesn't matter if it's an ATC, a painting, or a 3D project. It must have something lurking in or on it's corners. As usual, creepy cute will work, but the Minions really get a warm and fuzzy feeling when we see beautifully scary, tastefully macabre, and gorgeously Gothic inspired pieces. Just sayin'. Ok, let me just preface this with the fact that though I love the look of  killer stilettos, no way could I wear them.  My pudgy peds prefer running shoes & Sketchers... just sayin'.  :)  But I stumbled across THIS post that showcased these beauties: This lovely acrylic tarantula number... uh, eww. Joy.  I finished my HDH049 Macabre Monday card last night... and NOT without difficulty, I might add.  I will suggest to you that if you want to cover Grunge Paper with patterned paper, do it PRIOR to die-cutting it :)  Yes, I thought it would be easy to just glue it on after... notsomuch. The plan was to Glimmer Mist the GB so that the grey wouldn't show on the edges... but the mist would probably cause issues with the patterned paper, so THAT'S why I tried it.  I had heated the GB after misting because I am too impatient to wait for it to dry on it's own... it changed shape and shrunk in one direction.  Yeah... totally eff'd up... JUST so you know.  :)  So I just ripped the paper off, sprayed & inked the back and used it anyway... paperless.  Worked out ok, me thinks. ... I TOTALLY freakin' forgot to share some of my favorite carved pumpkins! I'll admit it, these are those fake hobby store pumpkins & the patterns are from those carving booklets that are aplenty around October.    BUT I DID carve them myself... does that count?  I just couldn't bear having to take the many hours of carving a real pumpkin so intricately only to watch him rot away (although I REALLY do like how they look rotten!!). The top one is a haunted house (hard to tell in this pic), spider next, and the bottom one was made with stencil shapes from Martha Stewart. This one is really big and has three faces all "welded" together:  a screaming ghoul, a skelly/reeper, & Dracula on the right.  I had one of those blinking lights in the damn thing, so this was the best picture I could get... the three faces wrap over half-way around the pumpkin. I just LOVE pumpkins... really I do.

Yeay... got my card done, and only a day late :)  I went for a touch of the cute on this one guys... hopefully your not too disappointed... I'm sure Poot is happier with this one ;)  I used white in addition to the purple, teal, black & yellow requirements, but oh well! This awesome image is from Stamp It Crazy ... too darn cute, right... I colored her with Copics.  Well, when I first got this stamp, I was trying to figure out what that thing was on her broom handle (the yellow thing).  And then it hit me like a bus... it must be a huge dust bunny, right?!  I know they are prevalent around here... only laced with dog hair :) The outside sentiment is from Bugawumps, and on the inside, the card says: "...like the Killer Dustbunnies under your bed." Oh!  And see that fan-freakin'-tastic black holey trim?  That is a bit of yumminess from Creepy Glowbugg ... LOVE IT!  Thanks so much... you're pretty sweet... in an off-the-wall, pseudo creepy...

So I've had these glittery black chipboard letters for OVER A YEAR , and figured I should use some :)  It's been kinda blah here lately, with the sun only peeking out for a few, so I thought I'd take advantage of my dark mood. It's kinda Twilight-ish, maybe?  I don't know since I STILL haven't seen the movies or read the books.  I KNOW!  Crazy, for a lover of all that is macabre... especially vampires . The black netting used to hold some glass pebbles... I cut it apart and tied it together with some black Scrapper's Floss .  Recycling gone goth?   ;)  The flower is Bazzill & the spider is confetti. Super simple and easy and not very creative, but you've got to have those projects from time-to-time! What do you think? .

Ok, so I haven't been posting much lately, right?  Well, part of the reason is because I was busy creating these lovelies:  http://www.theangelcompany.net/PromoProjectPlaylist.html !  Click on the Fall Into Fabulous title to see the stamp specials, and click on the individual photos (including the Boo-berry one) for a closer look at the projects :) I had an absolute blast, and these stamp sets make me want to host a Halloweenie bash even more than before!  I LOVE how the two mummy things turned out... so much fun!  I think I'll be doing several of these projects to sell at my upcoming craft fair booth... most definitely.
