Do not adjust your monitors.  It is not a glitch.  And no... you are not hallucinating (or maybe you are).  It is I... The Masterful Mistress of the Macabre! Oh how I have missed this.  It has been so sad that I haven't been able to get my creep on this year and participate at HDH.  Life sometimes is a drag, and the mundane things like work,bills & drama unfortunately take the front seat. So, on to the good stuff for today!  This week we are sponsored by Rick St. Dennis .  I chose to work with his " Salome the Vampyr " and " Hexology " images... and they are fabulous: I apologize for the horrible photos... I just don't know how to adjust my camera when it comes to reds... they always end up REALLY bright.  Anyway, I know the color combo on this card is a bit different.  Red, purple, black & gold?  Yeah.  I had already colored her gown purple & hair black, so the robe needed contrast... it DOES pick up ...

I'm not really distressed... because I actually got to play along with the challenge this week!  Smeared Ink was awesome enough to offer up a sponsorship, and the Minions and I couldn't be happier... thanks SI!! Can you believe I actually am playing along this week?!!  I swear it's been for-FREAKIN-evah since I've had the chance to create something for this blog :)  But there was no way I was gonna miss out on a week sponsored by Stampotique! That's right folks... it's the first Mutinous Monday from the Macabre Minions!  The Minions need a little R&R and have declared mutiny until 2012, so no challenge this week... but I still wanted to give you a little sumpin' sumpin' to satiate your HDH appetite :) I even posted on my "normal" blog last night if you want more mainstream :)  Yes... I've been busy.  Anyway, back to a little wickedness... First up, the last couple of cards from my Halloween card class back in September: You can't tell, but there is some DELIGHTFULLY sinful, black-velvet crocheted trim from May Arts on the tag... yummy.  And of course, more of that awesome Midnight Dreary line of paper from Moxxie:  Tomb it May Concern & Dead on Arrival .  I rolled a paper rose and finished it off with a dew drop center... LOVE it. Quite elegant, no?  The top half of this 12x12 paper has a pinkish hue and blended together with the bottom half's greenish hue.  The salmon...

The Mistress has a card today!!!  I know... un-freakin-believable. It's even for the current HDH107 Appalling Apothecary Macabre Monday challenge ! I am a bit of a cheater though.  This was actually done a couple of months ago!  ACK!  I know.  It was one of six cards I did for my Elegantly Eerie card class last week.  I had 25 people show for the class, and the three extra kits were gone by the time it was over!  Sah-weet!  I used all of Moxxie's new Midnight Dreary paper line... LOVE LOVE LOVE every single paper in that line! I will say that it took FOREVER to cut and punch all of the pieces for the kits.  I definitely don't make any for my time, which completely sucks.  BUT, I do enjoy teaching.  Here's another card from that class: Super easy, but I just couldn't bring myself to cover that beautiful house!  You can't see it here, but I ended up adding clear glitter pen over the eaves and the right ...

Yeay... the new calendar is out for The Scrapbook Page , and sign-ups can begin for my classes! Kenny K's Krafty Girlz challenge blog is having a DT call through Saturday, June 26th!  These are some cute digi's, I must say.  And if you go to his greeting card shop , you'll see a bunch of fabulous little goth girls, which I am hoping will be released as digi images in the future {crossing fingers}! So, this post is my bid for a DT spot :)  We're supposed to choose one of our best creations, colored images are a must, and post it.  What is difficult, is that what I think is my best and what someone else thinks is my best are probably totally different :)   Plus, Copic coloring looks very different from colored pencil rendering, so which do you choose?  So, I'm posting more than one... will that totally disqualify me?  :)   Click on the photos to see them up close and personal! I gave up on the butterflies for the moment, and decided to play along with The Burtonesque Dolls challenge this week!  It's been awhile since I had seen Tim Burton's The Corpse Bride , so Tuesday night I popped in the ol' dvd and snuggled in with the K-9 kiddos. I forgot that it was a musical... of which I'm not a fan... but I still liked the movie :)  The dark palette with the eerie blue moonlight... love it!  So that set the tone for my card today. Once again, I grabbed my Haute Couture diva from The Angel Company...
