It's the Masterful Mistress of the Macabre here, late as usual with my Macabre Monday challenge goodness (bad bad Mistress) I may have to switch places with the Minions for my actions...  well...  maybe ;) We are having our  LAST  challenge of the year, which expires this Sunday at 5pm CST.  The Minions are in need of a little yard time from the dungeon, but will pop in now and again to keep everyone on their toes. So, what is the challenge? Macabre Monday  challenge, " Sam hain   Sun set ." You are to  create a   dark,  Gothic, or  Hallowe'en based art piece that represents a  Samhain  Sunset . Do not adjust your monitors.  It is not a glitch.  And no... you are not hallucinating (or maybe you are).  It is I... The Masterful Mistress of the Macabre! Oh how I have missed this.  It has been so sad that I haven't been able to get my creep on this year and participate at HDH.  Life sometimes is a drag, and the mundane things like work,bills & drama unfortunately take the front seat. I just don't know how to adjust my camera when it comes to reds... they always end up REALLY bright.  Anyway, I know the color combo on this card is a bit different.  Red, purple, black & gold?  Yeah.  I had already colored her gown purple & hair black, so the robe needed contrast... it DOES pick up ...

After seeing what Creepy Glowbugg did with all of those Delicious Doodles images, I didn't even want to post this.  Wasn't that step card amazing?!!!  Me.  So.  Jealous. So, here is my no-frills card for you: That Zombie Pirate image by Teri is awesome, isn't it?  So to make it center-stage, I just used some Karen Foster "Dragon's Gate" paper scraps & popped up the matted image. That's right everyone... I'm baaaaaack :)  The "real" jobs have been keeping me hoppin' for so long, that I almost forgot how to find this damn blog!  I'm working this weekend, too, so if I was gonna play, it had to be today.  So, without further ado: HDH126 - Grimm's Grimmest Ike's images that I used for this challenge are f'ing awesome.  "Red" is looking a bit... ummm... yeah, YOU know what I'm sayin'.  >`:)  Let's just say the hubby is diggin' this card. I'm not happy with how the wolf turned out.  When I was almost done with it, my damn marker dumped a HUGE drop right in the middle of it.  Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!  So I kept going over it to try and blend it out, so it looks all blah now.  Dammit.  Good thing "Red" is the focus I guess. Just a quick note to wish everyone a wonderful Winter Holiday weekend!  And even though I didn't keep it creepy this week, just know that I still haven't put away ANY of my Halloween decor :) Does that make up for it?!! Since this week is bound to be super busy with Holiday merriment, I'm scheduling a couple of posts ahead... OMG... can you believe it... it sounds like I'm kinda organized. Don't let me fool you ;) Anyhoo, just to warn you:  this week's posts won't be very creepy.  Sorry, I've scraped the last of my never-before-posted cards out of the crypt, and they're on the cute side. GASP!  OH THE HORROR! (or the lack there of) This one is from quite awhile back... when I was on the DT for Simply Betty Stamps.  Actually, all of them this week are from then :)  Enjoy! A little saucy, no?  ;) The image is from one of the Sweet Gothic Kids lines.  I do like the big eyes... very fun to color.  And I can't remember which paper this is... maybe My Mind's Eye from a year or two ago? See... not very organized at all :)

I'll have more Mutinous Mondays for you, however I am up to my pumpkins with classes & holiday activities for the remainder of the year!  I seriously don't remember life being this busy a few years ago... it sucks to be a grown-up sometimes ;)

Whoops!  Almost didn't make it :)  So, just a super-quick post tonight... I { bleeding heart } my new Tim Holtz Sizzix dies! Lookie: ( Candlelight Fright and Mini Bat & Skull Set ) More of that Moxxie Midnight Dreary line... I hope you're not sick of that yet, because I will be using it a lot more >:) Anyway, super-simple card, but it definitely rates a "me likey"... no?

Fantastic work by the Minions & participants so far!  I am LOVING this challenge :)  But as usual, I ran out of time to play, so I've got a couple more cards to show you from my class that I taught in September... and yes, one actually fits the challenge ;P This one uses another Midnight Dreary paper by Moxxie (Dead on Arrival)... LOVE it.  I trimmed up a tree diecut (Tim Holtz) and added a bit o' ribbon. Here's my challenge card :)  More MD Moxxie paper & another Tim Holtz die (rickety house), and a MS fence punch. This shows the dimension a little better (pop-dots are my friends), but the lighting is off.  I kinda like it :) Well kids, you've got one more day to join in on the HDH113 Heinously Haunted Houses challenge for a chance to win a fun little prize pack.  Got haunts?

That's right, stalkers... finally!  And it took about 5 minutes including clean-up time. And it looks like it.  :P No ribbon, no bling, no foof... just rubber stamps, paper & ink. Once again, a couple of us dropped the ball here at HDH and totally forgot one of the Minion's birthdays was yesterday.  Dammit!  Teri, please forgive us... at least you should be getting some guilt loot out of the deal, I'm sure!  I don't know Teri as well as I do Creepy Glowbugg, but here are a few highlights: Mythical Art Nouveau artistry: Ike's infamous Tilda Mince ... but then again, I think ALL of us enjoyed THAT one! 80's metal hair band, Whitesnake... here is a shot with their serious rocker faces on... even though one is in pink and another has fringed sleeves... very few can pull THAT off  :) Here is the green snakeskin dress that Teri wore (in our heads) to her last Whitesnake concert: Filigree pendant... not sure if Teri would like it, but it makes me think of her: Be sure to check back with the Minions throughout the day to see what they've posted on their blogs for the belated Birthday ...
