Here we are again with our Design Team Throwdown entry. The voting has changed a bit, giving the teams more time to create,  with the  voting being open Thursday and Friday ONLY. I'm not really distressed... because I actually got to play along with the challenge this week!  Smeared Ink was awesome enough to offer up a sponsorship, and the Minions and I couldn't be happier... thanks SI!! Super duper easy, right?!   I chose this little candy corn monster to work with. He is so cute in a slobbery and chopped off head kinda way. I am in love with this guy. Or maybe it's just his little teefs. I used some distressed paper from a random Hallowe'en paper pack, I added a distressed bit of the cover from a TH Hallowe'en paper pack, and worked it over pretty good with a sanding block and the TH distressing tool. I think I like using scissors better. I added some cool webbed ribbon in green and black and even snuck in that bug ribbon that I bought last season and never managed to work it into a project. Thanks so much to everyone for their wonderful birthday wishes!  And even though I commented on the Minions blogs, I want to thank them here, too... you guys are awesome!  Not just because of the fantabulousness that has been retrieved from my mailbox as of late (which IS pretty effing awesome by the way), but for all the inspiration you guys give me and to all of our readers here at HDH! HDH Macabre Monday Rules: 1 . Create a dark and macabre SOMETHING (card, scrap page, altered item, whatever) that follows the specific Macabre Monday challenge given. Cutesy is fine, but creepy is better :) 2. You have until the following Sunday night @ 5pm central time to post your creation and please leave a direct-link back here. 3. Just a little heads-up for all of you challenge nuts out there :)  Over at the Smeared and Smudged ning site, I am hosting the October 2010 Guest Designer Challenge So, you might want to head on over and play along!  The challenge is to create something paying homage to one of the Goddesses of Harvest .
