Slow poke Saturday reveal

Image
Creepy G here with a really belated submission for our latest challenge, Hot as Hell in here!! This was a real challenge for me to even come up with this simple layout. I had mounds of grandiose plans for this gorgeous image from SimplyBStamps . I colored her up over a week ago, and then just kept pushing papers around for the last week. My mojo must be on hiatus.  Her name is Druscillia . She is quite magnificent. Somethin' about those horns... I struggled and I toiled over the sentiment for this card and finally settled on one I received from my dear friend, Catherine. Perfecto! I used real fire to burn the edges of the main image (yikes!), and then almost completely burned up the sentiment. I found it helpful to work over a sink and use a damp paper towel to douse the embers. You still have time to help fan the flames with us this week.  The deadline to enter is Sunday at 5PM CST.

Last one...

Just a quick note to wish everyone a wonderful Winter Holiday weekend!  And even though I didn't keep it creepy this week, just know that I still haven't put away ANY of my Halloween decor :) Does that make up for it?!! More My Mind's Eye paper and a Simply Betty Stamp image. Merry Creepmas to all!!

Stop the cuteness...

Image
Warned ya' yesterday... just sayin'.  Today's bit of non-creepiness: But at least she has attitude, right?  Another image from SBS's Sweet Gothic Kids.  And Echo Park paper maybe?

A not-so-macabre Mutinous Monday :)

Image
Since this week is bound to be super busy with Holiday merriment, I'm scheduling a couple of posts ahead... OMG... can you believe it... it sounds like I'm kinda organized. Don't let me fool you ;) Anyhoo, just to warn you:  this week's posts won't be very creepy.  Sorry, I've scraped the last of my never-before-posted cards out of the crypt, and they're on the cute side. GASP!  OH THE HORROR! (or the lack there of) This one is from quite awhile back... when I was on the DT for Simply Betty Stamps.  Actually, all of them this week are from then :)  Enjoy! A little saucy, no?  ;) The image is from one of the Sweet Gothic Kids lines.  I do like the big eyes... very fun to color.  And I can't remember which paper this is... maybe My Mind's Eye from a year or two ago? See... not very organized at all :)

HDH Mutinous Monday #004 and a little housekeeping...

Image
First up... for those that have won prizes and have NOT received them, please email the Mistress:  barbi007@kc.rr.com ... she is obviously slipping :) Next... Mutinous Monday!  I totally forgot about posting this way back when SBS released the Halloween Steampunks...dammit!  Better late than never, I guess: Meet Draco .  LOVE him!  I can't find him in the SBS store, but the link takes you to the section in which he should be found.  The others in that line are pretty awesome, too!  The sentiment here is from Pink By Design's A Haunting We Will Go .  Martha's Scarey Fence & Grass edge punches and a little Echo Park Apothescarey paper line finishes this off. I'll have more Mutinous Mondays for you, however I am up to my pumpkins with classes & holiday activities for the remainder of the year!  I seriously don't remember life being this busy a few years ago... it sucks to be a grown-up sometimes ;)

SBS Teen Scene Halloween Release Day!

Image
It's here... yep, more of that Halloweenie cuteness!  Today I'm sharing two cards made with the final three Simply Betty Stamps Teen Scene Halloween line.  I am pretty excited about today's images because they are modeled after The Addams Family! First up, Lola Addams : Miss 'Tude herself... along with her dolly.  Unfortunately, she has not taken this one's head off yet... hmmm... maybe I'll be doing a little sumpin' sumpin' to remedy that later :) I created the window & wallpaper from last year's Martha Stewart paper pad & a little Bazzill cardstock.  The floor is from Little Yellow Bicycle.  And the sentiments for the cards from yesterday & today is a new set:  "A Haunting We Will Go" from Pink by Design.  MS's Drippy Goo punch adds a final touch. And now, Betty & Christian Addams as... The Spooky Couple : LOVE LOVE LOVE these two!  And look... Thing is in there, too!  I also LOVE that rose trim that I pic...

Next up, Vampiress Tilly : A cheeky little vamp all in red... blood red, that is.  And check out the awesome little gravestone button!  Creepy Glowbugg sent me a few of these glittery little gems awhile back and I HAD to use one.  I added a little Ma...

SGK Halloween at Simply Betty Stamps... Preview Day 1

Image
Yep... Halloween is just around the corner, peeps!  So how about some Sweet Gothic Kids World ala Halloween?  Today and tomorrow, the SBS DT and I will be showcasing six new Halloweenie images.  Warning:  the cuteness level is a bit high for some of our HDH'ers, but you'll just have to suck it up :) Today, I've just got one...  Pumpkin Carving Alex : You may be asking yourself if Alex is a girl or a boy.  Yeah, I know... I got a little carried away with the lip color on this one.  So let's just say that this is Transgendered Alex , shall we?!!   His outfit is pretty boyish, so I'm calling him a boy :)  I do like how I colored him, though... his hair turned out pretty good, me thinks. Wanna see more Alex & two additional images?  Just go to the Simply Betty Stamps blog and check out what the rest of the DT did!  And don't forget about tomorrow... more previews AND the release!

Hermoine is all about attitude... well to ME anyway :)  So I altered a fabulous little sentiment for this one ;) Don't worry... the inside reads:  "Fan-freakin'-tastic is the 1st."  :)  Yep... what were YOU thinking my favorite 'f' word was?  Uh huh... I know. I gave my Copics a break for this one and got out my Lyra Aquacolor crayons and a Dove Blender... super quick and easy.  It took longer to cut her out than it did to color I think. I also got a fabby new spiderweb edge punch... because you can never have too many :) Stamps:  Hermoine (SBS), Fabulous You (TAC) Paper:  Bazzil & Neenah cardstocks Ink:  Noir Palette Other:  EK Success edge punch, Mi...

SBS Jude & the Rockers Preview Days 2 & 3...

Image
Yep... I'm behind a day already.  I've been out of town since Wednesday, but it was for a couple of awesome events.  The first was for the Intermediate Copic Certification class in Wichita, Kansas and the second was the annual seminar for The Angel Company, for which I am an instructor & demonstrator.  Needless to say I'm a wee bit fried.  BUT it was a fabulous time! So now, to catch up with the Simply Betty Stamps Jude & the Rockers release previews!  Monday was supposed to be Ariel : Sassy, huh?  Don't you love the glasses & the eyebrow piercing?!  Adorable me thinks. And Tuesday's preview:  Brittany !  She just so happens to be my absolute favorite of the entire line... which was hard to choose, since they are all freakin' adorable. That hair... ACK!  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her.  And she's not the least bit creepy (dammit!)... am I losing my mind?! Coloring this little cutie was a blast... so much so, that I am tea...

Jack Jack & Harley : This duo of doom was just begging to be Halloweenied-out.  I dug out my old Basic Grey Eerie 6x6 paper pad and found this loverly orange skully paper... LOVE! I die-cut the image panel with a Nestie label die & then free-hand cut the black mat... holy shee-ite that took awhile to get just right :P  The sentiment is from a retired TAC sentiment set.  I even used up a scrap of ribbon and finished it all off with a little black twine.  Their hair looks awesome in person, but you can't really tell in these photos.  Trust me >:) Tomorrow is the final day with my FAVORITE image and card of the entire line... and don't forget to pop by TBD blog for all of the details, ...
