that takes it's inspiration from a favorite bit of celluloid.
All types of films can be twisted into a darker interpretation.
You don't have to be a fan of scary or suggestive movies to play along.
Just keep in mind that we are going for creepy, scary, dark, gothic, or
Halloweenie feel.
We are sponsored this week by
Tracey has some wonderful images by some really talented artists
available in her shop. She has a very diverse selection of images to choose from.
Spesch has generously offered up 3 free images of choice to each of the
chosen ones (Gruesome Twosome) from this week's challenge.

The Minions are using Spesch images in their projects this week as well.

Now it's time to see what films the Minions have decided to use as their muse.

Music Mayhem mid-week inspiration

It's that time of week again when the Mistress lets us
out of our cages to wreak a little havoc on hump day!

We are showing off our projects for this week's
Macabre Monday Music Mayhem
challenge.

Mine is kind of a stretch, but I really wanted to use this image
but for my purposes her new name is ...

"Whole Lotta Neon Rosie" inspired by
AC/DC's "Whole Lotta Rosie".
I had all these new neon glitters that were just screaming to
be played with, and then this image has been just daring me
to give it some life. I even used some of my fluorescent Copics.
I now know why I need fluorescent orange and yellow.

And now for something completely opposite in both
song choice and color palette.

Andrea is joining me today and she has used
Smashing Pumpkin's "Ugly" as her inspiration.

So, now that you have seen how easy it is, pick a song
and join us this week for our Music Mayhem challenge.

Last week's chosen Gruesome Twosome for the
Butchered Blueprint challenge

Absolutely stunning work this week you two!

Brilliant (mis)use of the provided sketch by everyone who played
along with us last week.  We really enjoy perusing every one's
submissions. It keeps getting harder and harder to choose
just two of the most gruesome from all of the wonderfully
wicked projects we receive. Keep 'em comin' !!
It gives the Minions something new to squabble about every
Sunday night.

before we retire for the day.  Music soothes the savage beasties.

Mid week inspiration and a guest DT!

Well Wednesday came and went, and I totally spaced
the Wretched Wednesday posting.
I am such a weak ticket sometimes.

Anyhoo, this week's challenge is to use the provided sketch.
Sometimes, the hardest part of card making is the layout.
This should make it easier for you.

HDH141 butchered blueprint - SatCan
Feel free to flip it anyway that works for your project,
but please follow it enough that we can find the sketch design
in you work.

I'd like to introduce you to this month's guest DT.

I first fell in love with Nancy's highly distressed, detailed, and dimensional style
when I won her awesome Betelgeuse card quite some time ago.

Cool, right?
Nancy will be joining in on the challenges with us for the rest of the month.
Her creations are quite the treat.

Here is my Butchered Blueprint card.

Like Nancy, I also flipped the sketch and used it more to my liking.
I also branched out into another color palette that I don't usually use.
I realize I use lime green quite a bit, but blue is not one of my "go to"
colors.
I used a cool sentiment from Ginger's House
and coupled it with Smeared Ink's Candy is Dandy bear.

I pierced his little heart with a pink stick pin.
Hey, it was in the sketch! It looks like it may hurt a little though.

There is still plenty of time for you to whip something creative
together and join us in our sketch challenge.

Last but not least are the chosen winners from last week's
Vile Vintage challenge.

Congratulations to

Vile Vintage Mid-week inspiration

Well, it seems like it's becoming my modus operandi
to be late with my Wednesday posts.
Keeping with that tradition, here is my
Vile Vintage Ephemera shadowbox.

I have a hoarded supply of 8X8 shadow boxes that I picked up at a
ridiculously low price last season. It didn't occur to me to use one for
this project until late, Tuesday evening. I tore my original project apart,
and started anew around midnight.
Hence my tardiness.

Creepy ass ventriloquist dummy and his "Papa".
I mounted the photo and aged the whole thing to appear
distressed and forgotten.
I finally got another opportunity to use one of those
cool baby doll eyes from Pork Chop Show on Etsy.

Some people find the notion of Nuns and/or Catholicism
to be vile or unpalatable. I lightly sanded the face off the
nun to make her appear as a demon might when being photographed.
Then I added bloody fingerprints to give it some more drama.

I UTEE'd more bits of strange ephemera, and added a handmade tooth.
I think that covers Vile and Vintage Creepy Glowbugg style.

Now it's Croms' turn!

WMvile vintage
So elegant and seductively vile.

It's not easy for some of the Minions to create vileness in their work.
Others of us were born to be vile!
The challenge runs until Sunday at 5PM CST.
Please join us!
