Happy Birthday, Hagatha...

...aka Creepy Glowbugg.   >:)   Just kidding!
It IS true, though, that today our very own CreepyGlo turns... how old?  Oh!  Old.
{sinister snickering in the background}
I know... payback is a bitch.  But sometimes it is totally worth it ;)

I searched for a few images of things CG likes, or those that remind me of her:
Skully Hello Kitty
If this is a real game, I seriously need to find a Super Nintendo :)
Mice Taxidermy - Ode to Halloween
Jim Henson's Labyrinth puppets
Classic horror movie monsters

Seriously, we do love ya', CreepyGlo.  In addition to your mad skills with paper, ink, and polymer clay, your comic relief always makes us smile.
:)
See?

Thanks so much for all you do here at HDH, and for trying to keep me on track...
THAT in itself is a full time job!

I hope your day is a fantastic one!!

Fiendishly Fun Forty-something!

Today is a special day in the Minion dungeon as the luscious Creepy Glowbugg is celebrating her birthday and we thought to celebrate we would share with you all some fiendishly fun offerings suitable for a birthday celebration. Like this Walking Dead cake, created by Sweets to the Sweet for the cast of the show.

And some ideas to help you look your best for the party. Hide those bags under your eyes by using concealer. Or zippers.

Of course the centrepiece on the table has to be something special, so we chose the "horror ceramic" by Jessica Harrison.

And some Bloody Brain Shooters to wash down the cake, of course!

And in honour of Glo's own wonderful skills in clay, we have a claymotion horror flick to enjoy after we've eaten all the cake and are sitting in the dark. This is Nightmare by Love Automatic.

Glo, you are an absolute STAR and we're all so very thankful for all you do and are!

Wretched Wednesday - Seven Deadly Sins - Invidiousness

Envy (also called invidiousness) is best defined as an emotion that
"occurs when a person lacks another's (perceived) superior quality,
achievement, or possession and either desires it
or wishes that the other lacked it."

This week's challenge  of
The Seven Deadly Sins
has proven to be just that, a challenge.
I have scrapped two projects already and am less than pleased with my
current offering. I am being a weak ticket and I am offering up this
stunning array of awesomeness to feast your eyes upon
in an invidious manner.

I shall be farting my very own brand of bone dust this Friday,
when I turn into a 'forty-something'. Boo hiss!
This is a killer birthday gift sent from a dear friend, and
soul sistah Minion, Andrea.
Can you feel the envy starting to creep in yet?
Did you see the European Hello Kitty PEZ, complete with
skully bow?!
How about now? Any sign of envy yet?

Check out these AMAZING embellies!!!
All totally handmade and so detailed!! She needs to be selling these!
Maggots, and eyeballs and coffins! Oh my!

Check out how teeny tiny these are!

If you still aren't feeling sufficiently envious you can
pop by my blog and see a more detailed description of this,
more than to be envied loot!

And now without further ado,

Last week's chosen
Gruesome Twosomes
are
Carla
and
Fiona

Congratulations ladies! Please grab your badge and
post it with the Pride of the Minions!!
Thanks to everyone who played and has played along with our
weekly challenges!!
You make the world just a bit more sinister and we like that!

HDH105 PMS - ala The Mistress

Just a heads up... I'm not feeling the mojo.  I almost didn't post this, but Creepy Glo talked me into... dammit.  This is what I get when I try to get all matchy-matchy.  I wanted to make sure the colors of the tickets were brought into the colored image & the card background.  O...M...G... remind me to not try that with bright-assed orange again, K?

The paper is Echo Park and the punch is from MS.  The uber-awesome image is from Delicious Doodles.  I really liked how her skin came out, though.  It's just that damn orange that f****d everything up :)  The tickets I picked up at a local boutique a year or two ago... LOVE them... and I hoard them.  They used to say "Trick" or "Treat"... but since it's a zombie, I thought maybe "ick" or "eat" was appropriate?  Besides, one of them was already torn up from the tape... so I made it work :)

You still have time to play along with our challenge this week!  Until Sunday at 5pm CST!  AND this icky entry will also be going into Graphicat's challenge for Anything Goes!

Wretched Wednesday HDH105 P.M.S.

P.M.S.
Who would have thought that mere initials
would strike fear in the hearts of men?
Silly mortals!

This week's Macabre Monday challenge is
Why? What were you thinking?

I kind of had a hard time with this challenge.
Seems simple enough, just use a crazy chick
and something silver.
It took me a while, but once I found my muse
(also known as "Karin" from Stampotique),
I decided to make something other than a card.

Once I got "Karin" all colored and UTEE'd a few times,
I mounted her onto a black card stock scalloped circle.

Then, for my ultimate destash, I used a
Leeza Gibbons silver rope frame I picked up
years ago at Big Lots! for a $1.00.
I have two more frames in smaller sizes that may need their
own Stampotique images as well.
Anyhoo, a little (LOTS!) glue and some complimentary colored
ribbon, and we have ourselves an orny-mint! Yay!

There is still plenty of time to play along

And now... a Gruesome Twosome announcement.

Last week we had a great sponsor, Dilly Beans Stamps.
Megan was so generous that she provided us with enough
images for three winners!!!
So, without further ado, the chosen GT winners are:
BriGt  - 2 digis of your choice
Carol - 2 digis of your choice
and finally, Megan chose her favorite entry
Katt - 4 digis of your choice

Congratulations to all the winners!
Please grab your badge and display it proudly,
and contact fellow Minion, Susan with your digi choices
and she will get the info to Megan at Dilly Beans.

Cuteness alert

I started out all dark, but it just kept turning cuter and cuter :)  But I'm so glad I was able to play along this week with Dilly Beans and our "I was Framed" challenge!  I still might work up another one... without pink... but we'll see how time permits ;)

See... told ya'!  Ca-yoot.  I used Dilly Beans' "Framed Zombie Girl 2" image (scroll down a bit)
along with some paper from a Basic Grey 6x6 pad.  And look at the flower... THAT would be one of Creepy Glowbugg's Bwainz... LOVE it as a flower center!!!

So enjoy your dose of creepy cuteness for the evening.  I'll try to go all darkside next time... I don't want anyone to think I've lost my evil edge ;)

And you still have a few days to play along with this week's challenge!!  Who wouldn't want to win some of those creepy-cute images from Dilly Beans?!!!

Wretched Wednesday HDH104- I Was Framed!

Happy haunted hump day!
We are here to amaze and inspire you to play
along with us this week for
Macabre Monday's "I was framed!" challenge.

We are sponsored this week by
The challenge is very simple, use a frame or frames
in your project. Easy right?

I decided to use the Voodoo Doll #3 image after much deliberation.
There are so many neat, odd, and unique images to chose from
on the Dilly Beans site!

Now isn't he a handsome one?!
I opted for the dot technique after I picked up the
wrong shade of BV to add some shading to his nose.
I went way too dark, but managed to salvage the image with some
strategically placed textural dots. Nice save!

I used some of the awesome new Tim Holtz Kraft  Resist
Hallowe'en paper along with some old scraps I needed
to use up. The Corpse Dust label was part of a digital collage
sheet I bought on Etsy a few years ago.

And then there's these guys.
The march of the candy corns has begun!!!

Drop by my blog for more candy corn info.

Fellow Minion Susan, has also created another
Dilly Bean card using the Girl with Spider image.
The sentiment is wonderful for those animal lovers
and crazy cat ladies out there!

There is still plenty of time to join in on the MM frame fun this week.
Dilly Beans have generously offered up digis for multiple
winners this time around.  You have until Sunday @10PM CST.

And, last but not least I have the Gruesome Twosome from last week's
Carnival Of Curiosities challenge:

Michelle
and
Lynne

Congratulations ladies, please grab your badge and display
it proudly. You've earned it!!

Dilly Beans Stamps!

Megan at Dilly Beans has the most adorable creepy-cute stamps I've ever seen! The Gruesome Twosome for this week will each receive their choice of TWO free digis, and Megan shall choose her favorite submission to receive FOUR free digis!

There's also a Silly Dilly Beans Flickr group where you can upload all the fabulousness you create using Dilly Beans stamps, and Megan would LOVE to see your creations there. I know I've spotted a few blog posts featuring Dilly Beans stamps recently, so why not share the fun and upload them to Flickr as well?

AND, there's a sale on at the minute, buy 3 stamps and get another of your choice for free! So much yummy goodness that I think you may all be smiling too much to create something suitable for our challenges.

Wretched Wednesday HDH103 - Carnival of Curiosities

Creepy G here with my submission for this week's
"Carnival of CuRioSiTieS".

It all started with a hoarded pop corn bag.
"Hello, my name is Gloria, and I am a hoarder."
I have had that pop corn bag for a few years. A local gift
shop uses these for their purchase bags and I knew it would
come in handy some day.

These lovely bottles and jars are from an "Itkupilli"
digital collage sheet. So cool!!

I got pretty fancy here, using a repurposed net bag
as a curtain, and then covering my staples with a
edge punched scrap of the pop corn bag.
I also added a Recollections glittery spider web and some
fancy beaded things from Wild Orchid to give the
illusion of a spray of bubbles and beverage coming
from the weird bottle of creepiness.

And then we have "Kolossal" from
She is perfect as a side show barker dontcha think?

As a new feature on Wretched Wednesdays,
I will be announcing the GTs from the previous week's
Macabre Monday challenges.

Last week's chosen Gruesome Twosomes are
Carol
and
Lady B!
Congrats ladies! Please grab your badge and wear it
with pride!
There is still time to play along with this week's challenge
and maybe get a shiny badge of your own!

SBS Teen Scene Halloween Release Day!

It's here... yep, more of that Halloweenie cuteness!  Today I'm sharing two cards made with the final three Simply Betty Stamps Teen Scene Halloween line.  I am pretty excited about today's images because they are modeled after The Addams Family!

First up, Lola Addams:

Miss 'Tude herself... along with her dolly.  Unfortunately, she has not taken this one's head off yet... hmmm... maybe I'll be doing a little sumpin' sumpin' to remedy that later :)

I created the window & wallpaper from last year's Martha Stewart paper pad & a little Bazzill cardstock.  The floor is from Little Yellow Bicycle.  And the sentiments for the cards from yesterday & today is a new set:  "A Haunting We Will Go" from Pink by Design.  MS's Drippy Goo punch adds a final touch.

And now, Betty & Christian Addams as... The Spooky Couple:

LOVE LOVE LOVE these two!  And look... Thing is in there, too!  I also LOVE that rose trim that I picked up at JoAnn's... so easy to shape into a heart.  And check it... I used RED you guys!  I'm using it more and more... I should just embrace it and go with it, huh?

Now, don't forget to pop over to the Simply Betty Stamps blog for the hook-up on these cuties... at a discount!  AND the rest of the SBS DT has once again done a fang-up job with these images, so be sure to leave 'em some luvin'!
