SBS Teen Scene Halloween Preview!

Ok, normally I am NOT a sucker for cute Halloween schtuff, but this new line of

Simply Betty Stamps is rapidly making me change my mind.

I know!  Don't lynch me, Minions... I'm sure to back to my creepy self soon ;)

HDH102 Queen of the Damned Wretched Wednesday

It's Wednesday already?!

Man, this month is just flying by!

This week the challenge is

"Queen of the Damned".

Think royalty, crowns, thrones, and the like.

I decided to make my own Queen of sorts...

This is "Zombie Kellita" from Tickled Pink Stamps.

Really? Like you thought I wouldn't snag this little chickie

the second she went on the digi list at TP?

She's wonderful!!! In all her zombified loveliness!!

I had a blast coloring her in and giving her my favorite

YG shades of zombie pallor, and BG hair.

I used the "Bleeding Cowboys" font to set the type for

the sentiment, and mounted it on a fancy label from Spellbinders. 

I topped off the undead Kellita with a random crown stamp

I had in my stash. Threw in a few rhinestones to keep her

purdy, and we are fini!!

There is still plenty of time to join in on the

Macabre Monday fun

and create your own Queen or royalty project!!

This is my cute little iron cauldron in which we loving placed all of participants' names... sometimes three times each for entering the challenge:

This is my friend, Beverly... well, actually it's just her hand.  Really there IS more to her, but we won't be showing you that.  She is stirring the cauldron:

Wretched Wednesday HDH101 Kreepy Kiddos

Wow, I just want to take a moment and

thank everyone who took the time to hop

with us last week.

We had a really good showing from the

creepier side, and even some "norms" braved the hop as well.

I am glad we could all come together in the name of Vincent.

This week we have what most think, is a fun challenge.

Show us your kreepy kiddos!

No, not the ones you gave life to, but the ones that reside, neglected

in your craft room. Maybe they didn't start out kreepy, but

I'm sure you can figure out a way to make them

into less than desirable little people.

I did....

Sort of a public service announcement if you will.

Took me a few minutes to come up with the perfect sentiment.

Once I did, everything else fell right into place.

I got these wonderfully wretched images from

Itkupilli. 

Just a little fussy cutting and some pop dots

and this critter is creeped out! 

I have had this wonderful array of horrible images

for quite some time, so I guess that's a destash right there.

I also have a bunch of vintage Hallowe'en images, and some new

"Curio Cabinet Curiosities", that I just had to have. 

I won't wait this long to use them though.

You still have plenty of time to put something

wretched and wonderful together for our challenge this week

for Kreepy Kids.

What's a witch without an attitude, right?  Although her pet kitteh is sportin' a little 'tude of his own ;)  

The sentiment stamp is from Pickled Pear Designs, Basic Grey Eerie paper, May Arts burlap ribbon, TH tattered flower die, and of course Copic Markers.

A cheeky little vamp all in red... blood red, that is.  And check out the awesome little gravestone button!  Creepy Glowbugg sent me a few of these glittery little gems awhile back and I HAD to use one.  I added a little May Arts bat, because everyone needs a friend.

The sentiment & blood spatter stamps are from Artful Illusions... I think I'm in love.  A couple of EK Success punches and this b*tch is done!

HDH101 - Kreepy Kids

HDH Macabre Monday Rules:

1. Create a dark and macabre SOMETHING (card, scrap page, altered item, whatever) that follows the specific Macabre Monday challenge given. Cutesy is fine, but creepy is better :)

2. You have until the following Sunday night @ 5pm central time to post your creation and please leave a direct-link back here. Please make sure that your blog post / upload has been made AFTER the challenge date... we wanna see fresh stuff, not those from a few weeks ago!!

3. If you upload to any online galleries (TACPCC, S&S, PCP, SCS, etc.), please tag the title using HDH101.

4. Weekly giveaways! Some weeks will be loaded with loot, others not-so-much... but the thrill is in the win, right?! Some prizes shall be by random drawing, others hand picked... and I'm not telling you ahead of time :)

5. We'll be selecting a weekly Gruesome Twosome (our top two favorite creations) from all the players. At the end of every month these will be compiled and a Master of Macabre will be selected and will receive a little giftie from Barb... this could be stamp sets, handmade items, papers, halloweenie embellishments... you just never know.

SGK Halloween at Simply Betty Stamps... Preview Day 1

Yep... Halloween is just around the corner, peeps!  So how about some Sweet Gothic Kids World ala Halloween?  Today and tomorrow, the SBS DT and I will be showcasing six new Halloweenie images.  Warning:  the cuteness level is a bit high for some of our HDH'ers, but you'll just have to suck it up :)

Today, I've just got one...  Pumpkin Carving Alex:

You may be asking yourself if Alex is a girl or a boy.  Yeah, I know... I got a little carried away with the lip color on this one.  So let's just say that this is Transgendered Alex, shall we?!!  

His outfit is pretty boyish, so I'm calling him a boy :)  I do like how I colored him, though... his hair turned out pretty good, me thinks.
