HDH083 - Magically Witchy, Macabre Mistress style...

I confess, I've had this AWESOME image colored up for a couple of weeks now... thankfully, otherwise I would not have been able to play along this week!  The image is "The Key" from Stitchy Bear Stamps.

As you can see, I had a little fun with my MS grass border punch :)  As well as an EK Success one.  The background paper is from Rusty Pickle's Thriller collection... LOVE IT.  I'm so sad that I only bought one sheet of this.  It had three other 6x6 patterns that you'll see eventually, but this one is my fave.

You'll notice that I added a hat to Stitchy's image... after all, the challenge is "Magically Witchy" :)  I did save it as a jpeg, so if anyone wants it, just email me and I'll send it to you.  Or wait until later tonight and I'll edit this post and add it here.  I slit the hat so that it slid right on her head.  Genius, me thinks.

Well, off to get some work done... and don't forget that you have until Sunday night to enter this week's challenge!!  Who wouldn't want to win some Stitchy Bear Stamps digi-goodness?

**edited to add witch hat jpeg:
yeah... looks kinda rough, but it's all in the coloring, baby ;)

Fiendishly Fun Friday - Kittiwat Unarrom

Thanks to Sarah Cooper for bringing this bit o' macabre to the Minnions' attention. Kittiwat Unarrom is the creative genius behind Thailand's Body Bakery, where you can buy his totally edible and gruesomely realistic bread sculptures. Seriously, they're made from bread, not torture victims :P

Now all you have to decide is whether you want your morning toast to be a crust piece or a brain piece :P

Third Degree Burn Thursday

I am back today with a couple more cards I made using
images from this week's Macabre Monday sponsor,
This card is spotlighting one of the silhouette images from
the "Dem Bones" digi pack. There are three images in this set.

This key is my destash for this card. It is an awesome
wood cut out from Pork Chop Show on Etsy.
I've got some really creepy baby doll eye cut outs from him
also, I just haven't been able to fit them into a project yet.
I also finally used my Tim Holtz Poison embossing folder!
I just went over the raised bits with some silver dye ink to make
the embossing pop.

I used another of the Dem Bones images for
a masculine, yet fancy, card.
Yes, I know the ribbon is crooked. I fixed it,
but didn't bother to retake the pictures.
The weird bat brad is the destash here.

Please join us this week for our
"Magically Witchy" challenge,
and maybe you'll win $10 in digis from Stitchy Bear!
Good Luck!!!

Oh, and no specific reason for today's post title.
I just thought it was eye catching and a bit silly.

Wicked Wednesday - HDH083 Magically Witchy

Creepy G here with another Hump Day offering.

This week's Macabre Monday challenge is sponsored by
There is $10 worth of digital goodness up for grabs
this week.

The challenge is simple.
Make something magically witchy.

I used some of the killer Zodiac Tiny Tickets for my card.

These come in a set of 12, so you have one for every month
which makes it easy for birthdays and those friends who like
the whole astrology thing.

I used each month's birthstone to figure the color
of each ticket. After coloring each one with Copics,
I fussy cut each ticket and aged it a bit with distress inks.

I am planning on making a set of these to keep on hand
for each month just in case I forget some one's special day.

I have another Stitchy project using the "Dem Bones" silhouettes,
but my battery croaked before I could get any photos. I'll post them tomorrow.

Please join us this week for our Macabre Monday challenge and
drop by Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps and check out all the
amazing images you could choose from if you are this week's
winner!

Weak Ticket Wednesday

Welcome to Weak Ticket Wednesday!
I am your hostess with the mostess
Creepy Glowbugg.

This week's Macabre Monday challenge is
Hacked to Bits.
Now I thought long and hard about this for a while,
and kinda just figured it would come to me as I needed
it to, but it didn't.
I DO like my card, and technically it DOES fit the challenge...

Well, Hello Freddy!!!

I guess I could say that the hacking and the shredding is
implied, given it is Freddy we're talking about here.
How bleepin' cute is this though?
Looks like another possible tattoo design to me.

Join us for this week's "Hacked to Bits" challenge.
You have until Sunday night at 10:00 PM CST.

Ok, my little pretties... your challenge this week:
"Hacked to Bits!"
You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween-based project that includes or shows some kind of hacking or slashing. Think of Edward Scissorhands on PCP and you get the general idea.

And now, for viewing pleasure, here are the Macabre Minions' takes on the challenge. There will be more gloriously gruesome creations later this week from the Minions, but for now we'll share with you these three:

Creepy Cricut Cween Donna:

I LOVE Donna's creation this week, and I've double-dared her to enter it into the Mother's Day challenges that are around at the minute, but I think she's a little wary, so please pop along to her blog and encourage her. Can you imagine the impact this will have amongst all the more tradtional vase-of-pink-flowers-and-Best-Mum-in-the-World cards?

Temptress of Terror Teri:

Another fabulous piece of macabre art from Teri. I'm going to be singing that rhyme all day now!

Devious Digital Demon-ess Susan:

And my piece, meh, but don't forget the other Minions will be here later in the week, so keep a look out :)

And now we want to see your "hacked" creations. Get slice-y with a blade of some description, either literally or figuratively and come join in the fun. The linky tool will be added shortly, but if it isn't here when you've finished creation just leave a link in the comments and we'll find you :D

Fiendishly Fun Friday, HDH081 - Dastardly Diva, Macabre Mistress style...

Woo Hoo, baby... I was able to play along again this week!  And though my card doesn't exude a lot of dastardliness, the image is still smokin' hot :)

Yowsa!  If I batted for the same team, I think I'd be turned on right about now...

I had a lot of fun coloring up this awesome image from Barbara JensenPoison Ivy.  The look in her eyes is enough to call this one a dastardly diva!  Since she was earthy feeling, I used some paper from DCWV's green stack & got all flowery with fabric & stick pin flowers.  The ribbon is some random awesomeness I came across at Michaels last year.  Sentiment is from TAC's Joy, Found.

I could not capture the coloring of Ivy as good as it is in person, so you'll have to trust me ':)  These are the Copic colors I used for her skin:  E11, E01, E00, E000, R02 (cheeks)
Hair:  E07, YR18, YR15, YR12
Ivy:  can't remember... oopsie!

Well kids... you still have a few days left to enter your Dastardly Divas for the HDH081 challenge!!  Be sure to enter for a chance to win some fabulousness from Barbara Jensen's shop!

Oh!  And this also qualifies for Crafts and Me "anything goes" challenge!  I've been eyeing their shop from across the pond for awhile now... they have some awesome rubber stamp lines!

Fiendishly Fun Friday: Pushin Daisies

I stumbled across this fabulously fun online shop, Pushin Daisies,  while surfing the net awhile back.  It was started by a licensed funeral director... so it's GOT to be good, right?

There are so many awesome finds, that I can't show them all here... you'll just have to go check them out yourself!  But here are few choice gems:

Yard art just got more fun :)

How's this for a wedding cake topper?!

Nothing says chocolate like a skeleton in a coffin, right?

Me thinks these ice trays are a MUST!

And a whole page of skull items... especially love the skull grapes :)
And the poison casket ring really gives me the warm fuzzies.

Giftie giving just got easier :)

SBS Sweet Gothic Kids Easter - Preview Day 5

Here is my other Preview card this week... SGK Easter Tilly!  She's really pushin' my cuteness threshold, but you HAVE to love the little bitty spiders on her umbrella, right?!  :)

And to push that fantabulously adorable button again, check out the sentiment... sshhhhh, don't spread this around, but it kinda makes me smile...
:)
See?
It's a retired stamp from The Angel Company.

I KNOW... right?  I found this awesome paper in my stash, but I can't remember who makes it... maybe I'll come back and edit this when I figure it out... but then, maybe not :)  Looks like a windy, dark sky to me.

Pop by the Simply Betty Stamps Challenge blog to see the rest of the DT's creations, and definitely on Friday... RELEASE DAY!

And no, I haven't forgotten about my HDH081 Macabre Monday challenge card... you'll be getting an EYEFUL soon ;)... stay tuned!

Wicked Wednesday and some winners!!

Welcome to another exciting installment of
Wicked Wednesday!

First off, I'd like to congratulate our winners from
last week's "Alas, poor Yorick" challenge.
Katt was our Master of the Macabre with her awesome
Day of the Dead Kenny K  girl. Awesome job Katt!
And, I'd also like to offer up a single item of their choice
to each of the Gruesome Twosome,
Lady B for her brilliant 3-D steampunk skull and
CGRA with her insane skull moth.
Please contact me with your choice of prize from the
Creepy Glowbugg Etsy Shoppe.

This week's Macabre Monday challenge is
Dastardly Divas.
What that means is we want to see your femme fatales,
your homicidal hotties, and your buxom bad asses!!

This week's challenge is being sponsored by

She has quite an assortment of digital goodies from
digi images to tubes and clip art in her online store.
Barbara was generous enough to let the DT play with this
gorgeous Poison Ivy image from her digital image line.

For some reason when I first saw this image I immediately
envisioned her as some sort of alien Amazon woman.
Hence the violet skin and the blue hair.

I added some new (to me) Sizzix leaves and a new
fleur from Wild Orchids that I colored slightly to match.

I felt this fleur was a bit more exotic  and unique than the normal
roses or flat, petaled fleurs I usually use.

This week's sponsor, Barbara Jensen has offered up three
digital images of your choice as this week's prize.
You can't win if you don't play!
