Macabre Monday #029 - Oh You Devil!

HDH Macabre Monday Rules:
1. Create a dark and macabre SOMETHING (card, scrap page, altered item, whatever) that follows the specific Macabre Monday challenge given. Cutesy is fine, but creepy is better :)
2. You have until the following Sunday night @ 5pm central time to post your creation and please leave a direct-link back here.
3. If you upload to any online galleries (TACPCC, S&S, PCP, SCS, etc.), please tag the title using HDH029.
4. Weekly giveaways!  Some weeks will be loaded with loot, others not-so-much... but the thrill is in the win, right?!  Some prizes shall be by random drawing, others hand picked... and I'm not telling you ahead of time :)
5. I'll be selecting a weekly Gruesome Twosome (my top two favorite creations) from all the players. At the end of every month these will be compiled and a Master of Macabre will be selected. He/she will be asked to be a guest blogger for the following month, if they so wish, and receive a little giftie from me... this could be stamp sets, handmade items, papers, halloweenie embellishments... you just never know.

Ok, my little pretties... your challenge this week:
Oh You Devil!

You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween page, project or card using images/sentiments that are little devilish in nature.  Cute, funny, or evil... we DO like the dark stuff here!   :)

This is a pretty simple challenge... and I did a super simple sample for you!  I'm not diggin' the white-ish title much.  It was SO bright that I went over it with a little red ink... both ways just don't do it for me.  If I were to do this over, I'd leave the title off altogether :)

Stamps:  HAL19 (Stamp It Crazy - scroll down a bit), This Boy (TAC), sentiment from Inkadinkado (I think)
Paper:  Scarlet, Black & White UltraSmooth cardstocks (TAC)
Ink:  Moulin Rouge & Noir Palettes, Fresh Snow (PTI)

Other:  Copic markers, Cuttlebug embossing folder, MS drippy goo punch

I LOVE the red on black embossed background... devilish indeed!  Same for the image... she's looking a little pissed off, no?  ALMOST looks like she is getting ready to flip you the middle finger... I'm just sayin' :)

I'll post the Gruesome Twosome & prize winner in a separate post this week (maybe tomorrow, maybe not!)

So, are you up for the challenge?!  I'm hoping to see some truly gruesome devil images... I'm needing to find another good one to buy for my rubbah stash :)

In keeping with this week's challenge...

Ok, so this isn't a teenager, but maybe it's a teenage cat?  Look at that face... talk about attitude... well, maybe it's orneriness instead?  At any rate, I thought I'd share a card that has nothing on it :)  I still like it for a clean & simple look... and really, it's all about the stamp images anyway, right?

Stamps:  PET32 cat (StampItCrazy), sentiment from an old GWP stamp from TAC
Paper:  Premium white cardstock (TAC)
Ink:  VersaFine Majestic Purple (super freakin' old, but super juicey... it actually turned a different color!)
Other:  clear Stardust glitter gel pen

Happy Hump Day!  There is still plenty of time to play along with this week's challenge!

Ghoulish gourds all in a row...

I thought I'd share another little treat project today.  How cute is this little row of pumpkins?!  It's very basic and super easy to make, and I'll be selling a few of these at an upcoming craft fair.  Sorry about the photos... it was cloudy when I snapped them.

I created a little accordian-folded divider so that the little guys wouldn't move around in the box.  May I just say:  the Scor-Pal makes crafty life so easy sometimes!  I created a template, however it is not to scale... but it is so seriously easy you can just line it up on the SP and go to town:

This box feels nice and sturdy because I have an extra side piece that folds over... this also creates a nice finished top edge.  I did trim a smidgen off of the outer piece that folds over and in so it would fit correctly.  The acetate lid is created with the same box bottom template, except omit the two outer 1" x 5-1/4" sections.  I just used a mini glue dot to secure each flap so that there would be minimal adhesive that would show.  You could also use an eyelet if you wanted a more polished appearance.

I wrapped the little pumpkins in food safe plastic before putting them into the box... this will keep them fresher and cardstock won't stick to them!  Supplies:  TAC's promotional stamp set More Bone Appetit, Penelope & kraft cardstocks, copper eyelet, acetate, and some paper ribbon raffia.

What do you think?!

Simple, Smart & Sophisticated gone Goth...

Such a dreary icky day out... clouds, rain... perfect for an all black & white card!

And this one is a super quick one... a premade #10 gatefold card from DCWV makes it even easier :)

I don't know if I'll ever get tired of this retired stamp set from TAC... the skulls are so awesome.  I think this would make a very cool  Halloween party invite... very grown-up, but still fun.

Stamps:  Forever Family (TAC), Punk Princess (retired TAC), unknown sentiment

Paper:  DCWV card base, White UltraSmooth cs (TAC)

Ink:  Noir Palette, Moonlight White Brilliance

Other:  Tim Holtz Mini- Attacher, misc. wired ribbon

What do you think?
