Mutinous Monday...

Whoops... almost forgot to post something today!  Rush rush rush... this time of year is exhausting.  So, take a little breather and have a gander at this:

This card is from one of my recent Copic Classes I taught at The Scrapbook Page in Shawnee, Kansas.  I LOVE this Sweet Pea image from Anna Marine!  Paired with that black/red paper = awesome!

She looks so much better in person... my camera isn't the best.

I sprayed the rolled flowers with Black Gold Glimmer Mist for a subtle shimmer.  And then there is that fan-freakin'-tastic black velvet/crochet trim from May Arts... just one more addiction I have now developed!

2011 Mutinous Monday #001

That's right folks... it's the first Mutinous Monday from the Macabre Minions!  The Minions need a little R&R and have declared mutiny until 2012, so no challenge this week... but I still wanted to give you a little sumpin' sumpin' to satiate your HDH appetite :)

I even posted on my "normal" blog last night if you want more mainstream :)  Yes... I've been busy.  Anyway, back to a little wickedness...

First up, the last couple of cards from my Halloween card class back in September:

You can't tell, but there is some DELIGHTFULLY sinful, black-velvet crocheted trim from May Arts on the tag... yummy.  And of course, more of that awesome Midnight Dreary line of paper from Moxxie:  Tomb it May Concern & Dead on Arrival.  I rolled a paper rose and finished it off with a dew drop center... LOVE it.

Quite elegant, no?  The top half of this 12x12 paper has a pinkish hue and blended together with the bottom half's greenish hue.  The salmon pink really creates a truly non-traditional Halloween card, but it works!

And here's a favorite of the class:

It would have been 100x better if I would've had my Tim Holtz raven die at the time instead, but this bird worked out ok.  And there's the infamous MS Grass punch... what did I ever do without it?

Moxxie's Feelin' Vine paper... LOVE!  I created the fence with the Scor-Pal and a MS Iron Gate edge punch... turned out pretty awesome me thinks.... simple and detailed at the same time.

That's it for today, but the Minions and I will still be posting random bits now and then... they may be fortuitous, frivolous, fanciful or foul, but you'll want to check back often :)  You just never know when I will be in a random-prize-winner-from-the-comments kind of mood for the next couple of months... hmmm...

**One more thing... we are now gladly taking sponsors for the 2012 HDH Macabre Monday challenge calendar!  Just send a note to The Masterful Mistress via email (link located in the sidebar).

Check it...

The Mistress has a card today!!!  I know... un-freakin-believable.

I am a bit of a cheater though.  This was actually done a couple of months ago!  ACK!  I know.  It was one of six cards I did for my Elegantly Eerie card class last week.  I had 25 people show for the class, and the three extra kits were gone by the time it was over!  Sah-weet!  I used all of Moxxie's new Midnight Dreary paper line... LOVE LOVE LOVE every single paper in that line!

I will say that it took FOREVER to cut and punch all of the pieces for the kits.  I definitely don't make any for my time, which completely sucks.  BUT, I do enjoy teaching.  Here's another card from that class:

Super easy, but I just couldn't bring myself to cover that beautiful house!  You can't see it here, but I ended up adding clear glitter pen over the eaves and the right side of roofs & projections... and in each of the windows for a little candlelight effect.  Obviously this wasn't one of the tricky ones, but I'll be showing the others over a few more posts :)

That ribbon... ooooooooh me likey a lot!  It is velvet w/ a crocheted edge and it is crazy expensive.  I couldn't help it... it had me at black velvet.  And don't ask me about the effed up lighting on the second shot... it totally looks freakin' yellow.

That's it for now... and you've still got about 18 hours left to play along with this week's challenge!!

Upcoming class at the LSS and a little Pleasure & Pain...

Yep... pimping myself out once again :)  I just can't help myself.  At least I won't be writing a lot for this post... I'll just load her up with pictures, cool?  I'm gonna use these as my Pleasure & Pain entry as well:
Pleasures:  Copic coloring, pop dots (I'm addicted), GlowSkullz, rubber stamps
Pains:  figuring costing, material spreadsheet & writing class instructions (ugh!!!!)
I know... I'm stretching it, but I can because I am the Masterful Mistress of the Macabre.  :P

Sorry I can't divulge the recipes for these... you've gotta attend the class to get them... sucka!  And the class is full AND it's next week.  BUT you can still take it if you bring your own Copics... just call The Scrapbook Page :)  I will say that the stamps are from Simply Betty Stamps {shhhhh}.

Sneak peek at an upcoming Copic class...

Real quick post tonight.  I thought I'd share one of the cards we'll be making in an upcoming class at
The Scrapbook Page!  The new calendar isn't out & sign-up hasn't begun, but in late January I'll be teaching an all occasion card class... Steampunk style.  Kinda excited about it.  :)  This is Gwendolyn from the Steampunk Gang at Simply Betty Stamps:

What do you think?

Just a little sumpin' to tide you over...

Ok my little pretties, until I get my Delicious Doodles card made up tonight, please hop on over to my "normal" blog for a couple delightfully eerie-elegant projects :)

Eerie Elegance & a Halloween waterfall...

Yeay... the new calendar is out for The Scrapbook Page, and sign-ups can begin for my classes!

First up, Eerie & Elegant Cards on October 11th, 6:30pm-8:30pm.  Click on the link and it will take you to the store's website where you can see all four cards.
This is my favorite of the four, but the others are pretty cool, too :)

And this one I am REALLY excited about... a Halloween Waterfall Mini-Album on October 19th, 6:30pm-8:30pm.  It is a wine bag album :)  Plenty of pockets & pull-outs...
all in Halloweenie glory!
There is no way to do this album justice in a photograph.  Tons of heat embossing, Tim Holtz stamps, May Arts ribbons, flocked paper, and so much more.  LOVE it.

If you are in the Kansas City area, stop by The Scrapbook Page and sign up!  For you out-of-towners that would like to purchase kits, please email the store for details.
